The Mathematics department has 8 faculty; three are Doctorates, two M. Phil and three Post Graduates. This department is very rich in experience. This department has contributed enormously to the success of Vasavi College of Engineering in Academic, Administrative and Extra-curricular activities.

This department is organizing a club, where all lovers of Mathematics meet weekly once in the last period on Monday. Some of the activities are "lectures on basic concepts, quizzes, expert lectures, seminars by students etc.
