Dr.Changal Raju obtained B.Tech(Chemical Engineering) from R.E.C. Warangal in the year 1969 with distinction. He obtained M.Tech in Chemical Plant Engineering from the same institute in 1972. He joined the Chemical Engineering department of R.E.C. Warangal as a Lecturer in 1976. Dr.Changal Raju joined S.V. University College of Engineering, Tirupati as a Reader in Chemical Engineering. He obtained his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from S.V.University in 1984 and was promoted as Professor of Chemical Engineering in the year 1985.

During his long and distinguished career at S.V.University, Dr.Changal Raju served in various administrative capacities ranging from Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, Chairman, Board of Studies (UG & PG), Principal and Dean, Faculty of Engineering. He was instrumental in the development of the Chemical Engineering Department at S.V.University. He contributed immensely in the development of campus amenities and infrastructure.
